AN IMPACT ON YOUR SKIN AND EFFECT THE WAY IT LOOKS AND FEELS.
STEP 1 AM & PM
CLEANSER Cleansing your skin should be the basis of any skincare routine. In the evening, it is important to remove make-up and impurities, but also dead skin cells and excess oils. Morning cleansing refreshes the skin, and also eliminates toxins that might have accumulated on the skin overnight. It also prepares your skin for better absorption of skincare products. Choosing the right cleanser is essential in skin care. Majority of cleansers not only contain many harmful toxic chemicals, but they also strip your face off its essential oils and of its acidic barrier that protects your skin from bacteria and environmental pollution. That barrier is very important in your skin's health and overall appearance. Harming it can not only make your skin dry, and thus looking older, but also prone to rashes. Our Vita C is cleanser will not strip your face off its essential oils and disrupt its happy PH level. It does not contain detergent-like ingredients nor any harmful ingredients. It cleanses effectively making your face feel fresh and hydrated. For extra benefits, we have added to the cleanser eight-fold antioxidant protection, which refines skin texture, and helps protect your skin from the abuse of elements that have accumulated on your face throughout the day. Toxins and environmental pollution are one of the biggest reasons we age. Reveal radiance and enjoy a healthier and cleaner skin with Vita C. It is safe for any skin type including acne. |
STEP 1 or 2
AM &/OR PM EXFOLIANT Exfoliating skin is one of the most important, yet often neglected, steps in skin care. It removes dead skin cells that not only accumulate on top of the skin and prevent all the expensive skincare ingredients from permeating into deeper layer of your skin, but also make your skin look pasty. As we age, skin cells turn over every 21 - 28 days when we are young to every 50+ days when we are in our 40-ies. Exfoliant, such as Jojo Beads, will help you shed those stubborn old dead skin cells allowing for better penetration of other skin care products as well as revealing a fresher look. In addition to exfoliating skin, microdermabrasion will also help thicken your collagen, which results in a younger looking complexion. Collagen is a protein in your skin that’s abundant when you’re a child and makes skin appear taut and smooth. Collagen production declines as we age, resulting in looser, uneven skin. With consistent use, you will also improve the appearance of black heads, age spots and pores as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines. Please, note that you can also cleanse before you exfoliate or double cleanse and cleanse before exfoliating and after. Double cleansing might be especially beneficial if you wear foundation or if you have oily skin. If your face is dry or you do not wear a lot of make up, one cleanse before or after exfoliating will be just fine. |
STEP 2 or 3
1-3 times a week FACE MASK During a professional facial, the facial mask is applied to treat particular conditions. Our mask is to renew and nourish skin cells. It also helps with removing dead skin cells, and makes your pores appear smaller. It is also your answer to a less pasty look. It will boost your radiance with even the first use. It is a true spa experience in the privacy of your own home and at a fraction of a cost. It is loaded with Glycolic, Lactic and Hyaluronic Acid, Coenzyme Q10 and peptides to give your skin the boost it needs for smoother, more fresher looking and feeling skin. In addition, it contains super powerful antioxidants and free radical fighters Blueberry, Cranberry, Oregon Grape, Bayberry, Cayenne and Seabuckthorn and other healing botanicals. |

STEP 1/2/3
AM and/or PM
TONER
In general, toner is used to rebalance skin's PH level if you use a harsh cleanser. If you use Vita C, you do not need to worry about that, but many cleansers strip your face of their Ph level, and using a toner will help you rebalance that. A toner can be also used to remove what's left after cleansing. Marine Rejuvenator, not only does this, but it can be also used to replenish hydration throughout the day. You are going to love how refreshing this toner and facial mist is! It can be used over the make-up, and it in fact, sets the make up, so feel free to mist it as you go through your day. Your make-up will stay, but your face will be hydrated. Refresh it post workout ! Use it as your step 1 upon waking up. Rebalance and revitalize it with healing ingredients and vital nutrients straight from the marine world.
STEP 2/3/4
SERUM Serums contain a high concentration of certain ingredients, such as Vitamin C, Retinol, Peptides, Stem Cells. They penetrate skin better and protect skin from free radicals as well as help repair it. Depending on their content, they should be applied in the AM or PM or both. We carry 4 different ones. Super Hyro C to be used in the AM, and Brightening Hydration or Retinol Smoother in the PM. Our Peptides Repair serum/treatment can be used both in the AM and PM after the application of the other serums and before or instead of a moisturizer. Email us or talk to one of our consultants if you are not sure how to use the products. |
FACIAL OIL
Oils are best suited for dry skin. Our moisturizers contain them, but if you would like to add extra, apply over your moisturizer and best if at night time.
SUNSCREEN
We did not include SPF as the last step in the above suggested skincare regimen, but we do recommend Zinc Oxide based SPF. It is the only natural SPF that will protect your skin against both UVA and UVB rays by blocking them or "scattering" the rays instead of penetrating skin. Studies have shown that chemicals used in sunscreen, such as PABA, Oxybenzone, Cinnamates, and more can create damaging free radicals and ironically increase the risk of skin cancer. Chemical sunscreens have been also linked with hormone disruption. They can act like estrogen and increase the risk of for example breast cancer. Be mindful of the fact that chemical sunscreens have the potential of penetrating skin and getting inside the body (1). In 2008, CDC ( Centers for Disease Control) revealed that 97% of Americans are contaminated with oxybenzone that has been linked to allergies, hormone disruption, and cell damage. A companion study published just one day earlier revealed that this chemical is linked to low birth weight in baby girls whose mothers are exposed during pregnancy (2).
